Summary:The invention relates to a sensor and a method for detecting the direction of light. The method comprises providing a plurality of sensor cells, one next to another, according to a first or a second aligned configuration, wherein each sensor cell includes an optical detector, an interferential element and an optical filter, and wherein the plurality of sensor cells share the same interferential element and differ in the optical filter used, or they share the same optical filter and differ in the interferential element used; and detecting the direction of light based on a spectral analysis of electromagnetic radiation incident on the plurality of cells. The proposed sensor is an integrated device that does not require additional external elements and has a complete angular measurement range.
