Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with improved oxygen transfer which comprises: a reactor (1) for receiving waste water to be treated; aeration means (4, 6) for introducing bubbles (5) of fluid containing oxygen into the reactor (1); at least one basket (10) in the interior of the reactor (1); and a plurality of interaction bodies (11, 22) housed in the basket (10). The basket (10) comprises a lattice lateral surface provided with first openings (12) to allow both the activated sludge and the bubbles (5) access to the interior of the basket (10). The interaction bodies (11, 22) float in a disorderly manner, suspended in the sludge in the interior of the baskets (10) in order to intercept the bubbles (5) and interrupt the ascent of said bubbles (5). It allows the stay time of the bubbles (5) to be increased and therefore the oxygen transfer to the waste water to be increased.
