Summary:The invention relates to a protective system intended mainly to prevent accidental inoculations and re-use, comprising four elements including a first element (3) which protects the needle (1) prior to use. The needle hub (2) is designed in compliance with the specific relevant regulations and houses not only the hypodermic needle (1) but also an element (4) which can expand in the form of a bellows, enabling the upper part of the hub (2) to be extended. The mechanism is released by pushing against the notch provided in the intermediate part of the needle hub (2). When the bellows (4) is extended the upper part of the hub securely protects the tip of the needle (1).
