Summary:The present invention relates to the development of an electronic sensor, the aim of which is to measure the angle between luminous radiation and the vertical with respect to the surface of the sensor. The sensor comprises two photodiodes struck by a ray of light passing through a window made in a screen of transparent material serving as cover. The field of vision of the sensor and the precision of the measurement of the angle of incidence are determined by the structural features of the device. The invention applies directly to the field of the positioning of elements with respect to luminous radiation, such as artificial satellites or solar power-generation systems. Same is of use, also, for determining the angle of incidence of light, as in the case of the entry of direct solar radiation into vehicle passenger compartments.
