Summary:The invention comprises an operating method by means of which, through the application of a biological pretreatment involving mixing mature compost with the organic fraction of urban solid waste, or another solid waste that has similar physical/chemical properties, the speed of hydrolysis is accelerated and anaerobic biodegradability of the waste enhanced, since the degradation of a particulate soluble substrate is the restricting step in anaerobic digestion. La invención consiste en un procedimiento operativo a través del cual, mediante la aplicación de un pretratamiento biológico consistente en la mezcla de compost maduro, con la fracción orgánica de los residuos sólidos urbanos, u otro residuo sólido de características físico-químicas similares, se consigue acelerar la velocidad de hidrólisis y aumentar la biodegradabilidad anerobia del residuo, ya que la degradación de un sustrato soluble particulado es el paso limitante en la digestión anaerobia.
