A method for enhancing the pathogenicity of bacterial strains of the genus Bacillus, which comprises exposing the strain to temperatures below ambient temperature or other situations of stress, a composition of bacterial strains obtained by said method and the use of said composition in the biological control of the Ceratitis capitata pest are described. Se describe un método para incrementar la patogenicidad de cepas bacterianas del género Bacillus que comprende exponer la cepa a temperaturas inferiores a la temperatura ambiental u otras situaciones de estrés, una composición de cepas bacterianas obtenidas por dicho método, y el uso de dicha composición en el control biológico de la plaga de Ceratitis capitata.
