The set of platinum (II) trans compounds combating tumours consists of agents of general formula PtX2L1>L2>, where X is a halogen and L1> and L2> are amine ligands. Thus the trans-(PtCl2(amine)(dimethylamine)) compounds have e.g. dimethylamine as L1>, and L2> is e.g. R-NH2 aliphatic amines where R is an alkyl group. EMBODIMENT - The compounds are active against carcinogenic cells. Compuestos trans de platino (II) de fórmula trans-[PtCl{sub,2} (amina) (dimetilamina)], con actividad antitumoral, con fórmula general PtX{sub,2}L{sup,1}L{sup,2} En esta fórmula X es un halógeno, preferentemente cloro y L{sup,1} y L{sup,2} son ligandos amina. De estos ligandos L{sup,1} es preferentemente dimetilamina y L{sup,2} son preferentemente aminas alifáticas R- NH{sub,2} en las que R es un grupo alquilo de cadena lineal o cíclina. Estos compuestos son activos frente a células cancerígenas.
