7-[3-[4-(6-Fluorobenzo[d]isoxazol-3-yl)piperidin-1-yl]propoxy]-chromen-4-one derivatives having formula (I) wherein R is hydrogen, CHO, CH2OR2 or COOH R1 is hydrogen or CH2OH and R2 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms with the proviso that one of substituents R and R1 should be hydrogen, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The process for their preparation and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described. Compuestos derivados del cromeno de fórmula general (I) donde R significa hidrógeno, CHO, CH sub,2 OR sub,2 , o COOH; R sub,1 significa hidrógeno o CH sub,2 OH; y R sub,2 significa alquilo cuyo número de carbonos está comprendido entre 1 y 4, ambos inclusive, con la condición de que un sustituyente elegido entre R y R sub,1 debe ser hidrógeno, así como sus sales farmacéuticamente aceptables. Se describe también el procedimiento para su obtención y las composiciones farmacéuticas que los contienen. Estos compuestos son nuevos y tienen aplicación en el tratamiento de la psicosis, la esquizofrenia y la alergia.
