The improvements are applicable to plaster dressings with a very strong, flexible thread-like (wire-like) element incorporated in the dressing, there being an intermediate spongy strip, being characterized in that the strong thread-like element consists of a stainless-steel cable with a diameter in excess of 1 mm which is incorporated into a strip of low-density polyethylene of hypoallergenic type which has a hypoallergenic self- adhesive layer protected by silicone paper over the entire base. The removal device comprises a tubular body with a hand grip, which tubular body has, on the inside, a helical spring and a movable rod integral with a crosspiece which is capable of sliding longitudinally over said tubular rod. They allow greater stability of the cable-carrying strip and easier removal of the plaster when use of the dressing is at an end. Los perfeccionamientos son aplicables a vendajes de escayola con un elemento filar flexible y de gran resistencia incorporado en el vendaje con intermedio de una banda esponjosa, caracterizándose porque el elemento filar resistente queda constituido por un cable de acero inoxidable de diámetro superior a 1 mm, quedando incorporado en una banda de polietileno de baja densidad de tipo hipoalérgico, que presenta una capa autoadhesiva hipoalérgica, protegida por papel siliconado en la totalidad de la base. El dispositivo de extracción comprende un cuerpo tubular con asa manual, cuyo cuerpo tubular presenta interiormente un resorte helicoidal y un vástago móvil solidario de un travesaño susceptible de deslizar longitudinalmente sobre dicho vástago tubular. Permiten una mayor estabilidad de la banda porta-cable y una más fácil extracción de la escayola al final de la utilización del vendaje.
