New pharmaceutical compositions or products which, together with suitable excipients, comprise as active agents therapeutically effective quantities of: a) one or more beta-3-adrenergic agonists, particularly 4-[2-[2- hydroxy-2-(3-chlorophenyl)ethylamino]propyl]phenoxyacetic acid (BRL 37344), the methyl ester thereof (BRL 35135) or the hydrobromide of the latter (BRL 35135A); and b) one or more substances with antiglucocorticoid effect, in particular a steroid hormone, such as dehydroepiandrosterone, and an inhibitor of the adrenal synthesis of glucocorticoids, such as metyrapone, in combination for simultaneous, separate or successive administration. They preferably comprise in addition: a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, such as caffeine; a prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor, such as aspirin; small quantities of chromium (III), zinc, manganese and selenium salts; and aldosterone. They are useful for the treatment of obesity or excess weight.
