Summary:The process is based on the recovery of zinc, lead and iron present in the dust of electric arc steelworks. Zinc is recovered by carbothermic reduction of the dusts, pelletised together with coke, limestone and bentonite, in a retort type furnace with condensation of the zinc, while iron and lead are recovered by melting the reduced pellets. This process applies to the heating gas of a treatment furnace or the preheating of a charge. EL PROCEDIMIENTO SE BASA EN LA RECUPERACION DEL CINC, PLOMO Y HIERRO EXISTENTES EN LOS POLVOS DE LAS ACERIAS ELECTRICAS DE ARCO. LA RECUPERACION DEL CINC SE REALIZA MEDIANTE LA REDUCCION CARBOTERMICA DE LOS POLVOS PELETIZADOS CONJUNTAMENTE CON COK, CALIZA Y BENTONITA, EN UN HORNO TIPO RETORTA Y CONDENSACION DEL CINC, MIENTRAS QUE LA DEL HIERRO Y PLOMO SE REALIZA POR FUSION DE LOS PELETS REDUCIDOS. ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO SE APLICA PARA GAS CALEFACTOR DE UN HORNO DE TRATAMIENTO O PARA PRECALENTAMIENTO DE LA CARGA.
