PURPOSE: To conduct development of a bag more quickly by providing a tapering part on the outer end part of a vacuum arm used for an accumulating device of a bag making apparatus. CONSTITUTION: After bags are formed of a film web by using a seal cutter head 18, they are collected separately by vacuum arms 20 and put on pins 22. An arm assembly 60 is driven at a prescribed rate by a main drive shaft. A tapering end part is formed on the outer end part of the vacuum arm 20. Since the effective thickness of the arm 20 is reduced, therefore, a necessary gap angle can be lessened, and since the vacuum arms 20 disengage faster from the outer edge of the bag made afresh, development of the bag is conducted more quickly.
