Summary:The present invention relates to the use of vaccines comprising virus-like particles displaying at least one SARS-CoV-2 antigen, such as the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, as vaccine boosters. Antigens are displayed on virus-like particles (VLPs) and produce an immune response in vaccinated subjects. The invention also relates to methods of treatment using the recombinant VLPs as boosters to treat and/or prevent infection with SARS-CoV-2, and methods of preparation thereof.
