The analog part (2) includes a top scintillator (11) coupled with a first silicon photomultiplier - SiPM (12) and a bottom scintillator (13) coupled with a second silicon photomultiplier - SiPM (14). The second subject matter of the invention is a method for detecting cosmic rays executed using the cosmic ray detector according to the invention. The third subject matter of the invention is a system for facilitating earthquake prediction by detecting cosmic rays. The system includes a processing device (100), a communication device (101), and a storage device (102). The communication device (101) is configured for receiving a plurality of cosmic rays information from a plurality of cosmic ray detectors (104) according to the invention.
