The subject of the invention is an organic fertilizer from sterilized and dried insect frass, especially from Hermetia illucens culture, and its use to improve the welfare of monocotyledonous plants, especially cereals and grasses. The invention also concerns the use of this organic fertilizer for fertilization and prevention of water stress in monocotyledonous plants, its use to improve the degree of soil moisture, especially under drought stress, and its use to increase the yield of barley and perennial ryegrass. The invention also concerns the method of fertilization and improvement of soil moisture, especially under drought stress, intended for growing monocotyledonous plants.
