Summary:To provide a medical examination device having a plurality of irradiation lights that can be independently controlled while achieving downsizing, the medical examination device includes: an observation optical system that observes a subject; an illumination optical system including a slit light generation unit that generates slit light, a first light generation unit that generates first light different from the slit light, and an exterior in which a slit light irradiation port that emits the slit light and a first light irradiation port that emits the first light are formed at different positions; and a control unit that controls the illumination optical system. The first light generation unit includes a first light source disposed at a position where the first light can be emitted from the first light irradiation port.
