Summary:A laser system (10) for producing a laser line comprises a laser beam source (11), which generates a laser beam (31), a focusing optical unit (12), which shapes a laser beam into a focused laser beam (34-2), and a deflection optical unit (14), which deflects an incident laser beam (34-2) into a propagation plane (40-2) perpendicular to the beam axis (35-2) of the incident laser beam (34-2). An adjustable stop device (15) which is adjustable between a first position with a first aperture diameter and a second position with a second aperture diameter (D2) is arranged between the laser beam source (11) and the deflection optical unit (14).
