Summary:The application relates to a method for producing an acoustic protection panel (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a decoupling layer based on foam crumb (3) agglomerated with a binding agent (4) that is activated by heat, said binding agent being formed by binding fibres, said fibres comprising a high-temperature hot-melt core and a lower-temperature hot-melt sheath, said crumb being bound by the melting of said sheath so that said layer takes the form of foam crumb agglomerated by said fibres, said crumb occupying between 80wt% and 90wt% of said layer such that said fibres occupy between 20wt% and 10wt% of said layer.
