Summary:The present washing machine comprises: a drum; a detergent supply unit for supplying detergent to the drum; a turbidity sensor for detecting the turbidity of water inside the drum; a memory; and a processor which, when a washing cycle starts, causes the detergent supply unit to supply the detergent to the drum, detects the turbidity of water by means of the turbidity sensor when a preset time period elapses after the washing cycle starts, compares the detected turbidity of the water with a threshold value and obtains result information, and stores the obtained result information in the memory.
