Summary:The invention relates to an axial flux machine (1) comprising a housing (3) in which a stator (4) is provided that has a first and a second stator half (41, 42), said stator halves (41, 42) being secured to the housing (3), and a rotor (6) which is arranged between the stator halves (41, 42) and which contacts a rotor shaft (7) in a rotationally fixed manner, said rotor shaft being rotatably mounted relative to the stator (4) and the housing (3) via bearing points. A separate adjusting element (11, 13) which adjusts the axial spacing between the rotor (6) and the stator halves (41, 42) is arranged between at least one of the stator halves (41, 42) and the housing (3). The invention additionally also relates to an installation method for axially aligning the assemblies relative to one another.
