Summary:It relates to a formulation comprising a) an aqueous medium; b) a cationic polymer dissolved in the aqueous medium, wherein the concentration of the cationic polymer is from 0.0001 to 0.5% by weight with respect to the total weight of the formulation; c) a plurality of copper cations dissolved in the aqueous medium; and d) microcapsules dispersed in the aqueous medium, wherein the microcapsule wall forms a network which comprises an anionic polymer and a plurality of copper cations, wherein the microcapsule has a particle size distribution D90 from 2 to 80 µm. It also relates to a process for preparing the formulation and to its use as a delivery system of copper in agricultural applications, and for preventing or reducing the damage of diseases caused by pathogenic fungi or bacteria in agricultural crops.
