The agricultural system (300) comprising: one or more job quality sensors (180) each of the one or more job quality sensors (180) configured to detect a respective job quality characteristic value of a job performed by a mobile agricultural machine (100); a speed sensor (325) configured to detect a travel speed of the mobile agricultural machine (100); and one or more processors (301); and a data store (302) configured to store computer executable instructions that when executed by the one or more processors (301) are configured to cause the one or more processors (301) to: determine (520) an optimal travel speed (430, 432) of the mobile agricultural machine (100) based on the one or more respective job quality characteristic values, detected by the one or more job quality sensors (180), and a respective job quality characteristic value threshold (360) for each of the one or more respective job quality characteristic values; and generate (522) a control signal based on the determined optimal travel speed and the detected travel speed of the mobile agricultural machine (100). Further, a computer implemented method of optimizing a travel speed of a mobile agricultural system (300) is disclosed.
