Summary:The present invention provides systems and methods for managing data subject to patient consent. A patient data system may comprise a processor configured to: identify a dataset associated with a patient data display interface; identify at least one relevant controlling region associated with the dataset; determine at least one region-based consent requirement associated with the dataset based on the at least one relevant controlling region; receive or retrieve patient consent data; and determine whether to display the dataset via the patient data display interface based on the determined at least one region-based consent requirement and patient consent data. A surgical data management system may comprise a processor configured to: receive a data request for health data associated with a patient from a data requesting system; obtain a conditional consent associated with the patient; identify a condition associated with the conditional consent; determine whether to block access to at least a portion of the health data associated with the patient based on the data request and whether the condition associated with the conditional consent has been met; and generate a response to the data request based on the determining. A consent management system may comprise a processor configured to: receive a request to modify consent data associated with a patient; obtain patient capacity information associated with the patient; determine whether to allow modification of the consent data based on the obtained patient capacity information; and generate a response to the request based on the determining.
