Summary:The present application relates to a clothing processing apparatus comprising: a drum including a cylindrical-shaped drum body which is open at both opposite surfaces thereof, a front cover which is provided to close one open surface of the drum body and forms the front surface of the drum body, a rear cover which is provided to close the other open surface of the drum body and forms the rear surface of the drum body, and a drum inlet which passes through the front cover and communicates with the inside of the drum body; a stationary panel which is provided at a position spaced apart from the rear cover; a power transmission unit including a housing which is fixed to the stationary panel, an input shaft one end of which is positioned outside the housing and the other end of which is positioned inside the housing, an output shaft which passes through the stationary panel, one end of which is fixed to the rear cover, and the other end of which is positioned inside the housing, and a gear unit which is disposed within the housing and transmits the rotational motion of the input shaft to the output shaft; and a motor including a stator which is fixed to the stationary panel or the housing and forms a rotating magnetic field and a rotor to which one end of the input shaft is fixed and which is rotated by the rotating magnetic field, wherein the drum body, the rear cover, and the front cover are made of the same material, and the thickness of the drum body is configured to be smaller than the thickness of the rear cover and the thickness of the front cover.
