A display method and an electronic device are disclosed. The electronic device displays a first image through a first display, and displays the first image through the first display, where the first display corresponds to a first eye of a user; and displays a second image through a second display, where the second display corresponds to a second eye of the user. An overlapping region exists on each of the first image and the second image, and the overlapping region includes at least one same object. On the first image, a center point of the overlapping region is located at a first position; and on the second image, the center point of the overlapping region is located at a second position. A distance from the first position to a center point of the first image is not equal to a distance from the second position to a center point of the second image, and/or a direction from the first position to the center point of the first image is not equal to a direction from the second position to the center point of the second image. In this manner, an assembly tolerance of the displays on the electronic device (for example, a head-mounted display device) can be compensated, and a display effect can be improved.
