The present disclosure relates to a composition containing organic sulfur, the invention relates to the technical field of chemical engineering, in particular to thiosulfinic acid di-n-butyl ester, thiosulfinic acid dimethyl ester, thiosulfinic acid diphenyl ester, thiosulfinic acid di (p-tolyl) ester, thiosulfinic acid diisopropyl ester, thiosulfinic acid dibenzyl ester, thiosulfinic acid dibenzyl ester, S-propyl-4-methyl phenyl thiosulfonate, thiosulfinic acid di-n-propyl ester and thiosulfinic acid di-n-propyl ester. Such compositions are useful for treating infections and reducing or degrading biofilms in vivo and in vitro. In particular, such compositions are useful in the treatment of biofilm-related conditions including, but not limited to, mastitis, dermatitis, and chronic wound infections.
