Summary:[Solution] A mold 10 for glass molding includes a molding surface 1 having a surface shape according to a shape of one side of a glass molded article, a heat insulating portion 2 which is integrally formed with the molding surface 1 and which includes at least one cavity 2a in at least a partial region on a back surface side of the molding surface 1, and a base 3 which supports the heat insulating portion 2.According to this configuration, the heat insulating portion 2 integrally formed with the molding surface 1 has a heat insulating property by including at least one cavity 2a in at least a partial region on a back surface side of the molding surface 1 (heat conductivity coefficient decreases). As a result, at the time of molding of the glass molded article through pressing by the molding surface 1, it is possible to suppress cooling of the glass molded article since heat of the glass molded article dissipates via the molding surface 1, and the mold can withstand large molding pressure and a high temperature at the time of the molding of the glass molded article since the heat insulating portion 2 is integrally formed with the molding surface.
