Summary:As disclosed a power supply control system routing a first power supply (222) voltage (VA) to an output voltage supply node (150) includes a first compound switch circuit (230), which includes a first field effect transistor, FET, (Q1) where a drain of the first FET is connected to the first power supply voltage. The first compound switch circuit also includes a second FET (Q2). A source of the second FET is connected to a source of the first FET forming a first shared source node (236) of the FETs. A drain of the second FET is connected to the output voltage supply node. A gate of the first FET and a gate of the second FET are connected together to form a first shared gate node (238).The power supply control system includes first voltage driving circuitry (210) charging a first bootstrap capacitor (224), when the first compound switch circuit is in an "off" state, by controlling a first DC switching device (240) to pull one end of the bootstrap capacitor, connected to the first shared source node (236), to ground. The other end of the first bootstrap capacitor is connected via a first diode (226) to a second power supply (220).The first voltage driving circuitry provides an "on" gate-to-source voltage level to drive the first compound switch circuit into an "on" state by turning "off" the first DC switching device and connecting said other end of the first bootstrap capacitor to said first shared gate node.
