Summary:The present invention relates to a device (3) and a method for generating a visualization of an anatomical volume of interest. The device comprises circuitry (32) configured to segment the volume of interest in a 3D image data set; decompose the segmented volume of interest into a hypo-enhancement volume and a hyper-enhancement volume, each showing the shell area of the volume of interest, wherein the hypo-enhancement volume is generated by thresholding voxels of the shell area against a first threshold and the hyper-enhancement volume is generated by thresholding voxels of the shell area against a second threshold; generate an inner volume showing only the inner area of the volume of interest without the shell area; and generate a composition volume by composing the hypo-enhancement volume, the hyper-enhancement volume and the inner volume.
