The invention relates to a coating plant (1) for coating an object (2), for example a steel strip. The coating plant (1) comprises: - a coating chamber (4) and - a device for chemical vapor deposition of material (6), comprising an evaporation section (7) and a nozzle section (8, 9). The steel strip is conducted for example with the aid of transport rollers (3a, 3b) in the direction of the arrow (5) through the coating chamber (4). The nozzle section (8, 9) is designed for overheating the material that exits thereof in an overheated gas phase. The invention further relates to a method for coating an object and to a use.
