Summary:A method of treating an inanimate surface to provide long-lasting cleaning, including prevention of mold growth on the surface, the method comprises the step of treating the surface with a composition comprising at least 102cfu/g of bacterial spores wherein the bacterial spores are selected from the group consisting of spores of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747 and a variant thereof, wherein the variant has at least 96% and preferably at least 99% whole genome sequence identity with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747.
