Summary:Systems and methods are described for ion chromatography systems and electrolytic suppressors. By varying the operating frequency of an electrolytic suppressor, the generation of bubbles and noise can be minimized. This leads to more accurate results in e.g., a conductivity detector downstream of an electrolytic suppressor within an ion chromatography system. In certain embodiments, it has been found that frequencies of around 700-750 Hz, 100-150 Hz and 925-975 Hz have achieved the best results.
