Summary:The present application discloses a multi-layer composite separator, a secondary battery and an electrical device containing the same, the multi-layer composite separator including a first substrate layer and a second substrate layer, wherein the multi-layer composite separator further includes a water-scavenging material and an acid-scavenging material, the acid-scavenging material being disposed between the first substrate layer and the second substrate layer, and the water-scavenging material being disposed on at least one surface of the first substrate layer and the second substrate layer. The secondary battery of the present application has high energy density and long service life at the same time.
