Summary:There is provided the sealing element (100) including a raised region (110). The raised region (110) includes: a plurality of first ridges (11) on a first principal face (10), and a plurality of second ridges (21) on a second principal face (20) reverse to the first principal face (10). A central trough (25) is formed between the second ridges (21) adjacent to each other and is located in the center of the second principal face (20), viewed in a cross-section. At least the first ridge (11) located in the most outer side of the plurality of first ridges (11) is positioned to be offset against the plurality of second ridges (21), viewed in a cross-section. The sealing element (100) more preferably enables a decrease in force required in an operation of mating a connector.
