A wearable electronic device is provided. The wearable electronic device may comprise a housing formed to be wearable on the body, at least one sensor, a communication module, a display, and at least one processor operatively connected to the at least one sensor, the communication module, and the display, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: acquire state information related to a plurality of Internet-of things devices from an electronic device connected to the plurality of Internet-of things devices over wireless communication; acquire sensor data by using the at least one sensor; on the basis of the state information related to the plurality of Internet-of things devices and the sensor data, identify a candidate function providable by at least one Internet-of things device among the plurality of Internet-of things devices; and display, on the display, information on the candidate function providable by the at least one Internet-of-things device.
