Summary:The present document relates to an electronic device for generating a sport, and an operating method of the electronic device, and according to an embodiment, the electronic device comprises a memory and at least one processor connected to the memory, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to: obtain a sport name in response to a sport addition request; recommend at least one data type on the basis of the sport name; generate a new sport corresponding to the sport name on the basis of a data type selected from the recommended at least one data type; and obtain sports measurement information corresponding to the selected data type in response to execution of the new sport. Other embodiments are also possible.
