Summary:The invention relates to the use of Aviptadil or a functional derivative or a precursor thereof alone or in combination with Alpha Lipoic Acid or a functional derivative or a precursor thereof as (a) therapeutic agent(s) for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a post-viral infection syndrome including, without limitation, fibrotic disease, inflammatory disease, neurodegenerative disease, autoimmune disease, or heart and vascular disease as a consequence of post-viral infection syndrome, such as a SARS-COV-2 infection.
