Summary:The present invention provides a system and a method for enveloping floating structures in open and deep waters, using a flexible composite fabric that can later be removed. The composite fabric and all artifacts and systems necessary for enveloping are in a compact package (2), which is positioned collapsed beneath the floating structure (1).The enveloping method of this invention allows transporting the entire envelope system (2) to the location where the floating structure (1) is located, using a support vessel (3), positioning the envelope in its compacted and empty mode (2) beneath the floating structure (1), fastening the envelope in its compacted and empty mode (2) to the moorings of the floating structure (11) and, finally, activating the compressors to inflate the flexible tubular units in the simple envelope model (2) and flexible tubular units with spacer tubes (18, 21 and 22) in the gummed envelope model (20 and 24).
