Also provided is a method for easily producing a substrate (2) in which nanoparticles are arranged in a nanometer-scale region on a solid surface. A particle-immobilized substrate (1) includes a substrate (2) and a plurality of inorganic nanoparticles (3) disposed on the substrate (2), in which the plurality of inorganic nanoparticles (3) is disposed in contact with each other in a region having a width (D1) of 1 µm or less on the substrate (2).
