In order to provide a yarn traversing device and a method for producing cross-wound bobbins at a workstation of a textile machine using the yarn traversing device, which allows a defect-free cross-wound bobbin to be completed even after a long interruption of production, it is provided that the yarn traversing device has a temperature control system, which comprises a heating unit, the heating unit has a control unit for heating the yarn laying unit.
