Summary:This application provides a folding mechanism and an electronic device. The folding mechanism includes a shaft base, a door plate, a support, and a support plate. The door plate may move towards the shaft base, or the door plate may move away from the shaft base. The support includes a main body and a revolute pair fixedly connected to the main body, and the revolute pair is rotatably connected to the shaft base. The support plate includes a main plate and a kinematic pair fixedly connected to the main plate, and the kinematic pair is rotatably connected to the support and slidably connected to the shaft base. The folding mechanism in this application can reduce a crease of a flexible display correspondingly disposed on the folding mechanism, and reduce a gap on a side of the electronic device formed after the folding mechanism is folded.
