The present invention refers to a method for the preparation of a hydrogel suitable to produce artificial tissues. The present invention also covers a biomaterial or artificial tissue obtained by implementing said method. Finally, the present invention is directed to the use of the biomaterial or artificial tissue thus obtained as a medicament, preferably for the regeneration of tissues or organs, more preferably for restoring or partially or fully replacing the functional activity of a diseased or damaged tissue or organ.
