Summary: | The present technology relates to compositions suitable for depositing personal care actives onto keratinous substrates. More particularly, the technology concerns compositions comprising lipophilic materials which are deposited from an ampholytic-anionic delivery system. The compositions exhibit high deposition of the lipophilic material onto keratinous substrates such as the skin, nails, and/or hair upon application thereto. In one aspect, the disclosed technology relates to a personal care deposition composition for depositing a lipophilic material onto a keratinous substrate comprising: a) at least one ampholytic polymer; b) at least one anionic polymer; c) at least one lipophilic material; and d) water, wherein the weight ratio of the at least one ampholytic polymer to the at least one anionic polymer ranges from about 10:1 to about 1:1. |
