The marine drive (10) comprises a motor housing (42) defining a motor cavity (50); a motor (52) disposed in the motor cavity (50); a propulsor shaft (74) extending from the motor housing (42), wherein the motor (52) is configured to cause rotation of the propulsor shaft (74); a propulsor (82) which is rotated by the propulsor shaft (74) to create a thrust force in the body of water; and a vent conduit (94, 130) having a first end connected to the motor cavity (50) and a second end which vents the motor cavity (50) to atmosphere.
