Summary: | An ultra violet (UV) coated thermal sensitive media is disclosed. The UV coated thermal sensitive media comprises a media layer and a lamination layer internal to the media layer. The lamination layer includes a matrix of micro heating elements. The UV coated thermal sensitive media further comprises a thermally sensitive record layer formed upon at least a portion of one surface of the media layer and an ultra violet protective coating layer disposed over the thermally sensitive record layer. The thermally sensitive record layer forms a visually discernable colored image in response to heat and the colored image is subject to degradation as a result of exposure to ultraviolet radiation within a photodegradative wavelength range. |
