Summary: | This application discloses an uplink power control method. A network device may periodically pre-schedule a PUSCH for a terminal, and the terminal may dynamically adjust maximum transmit power based on a transport block TB size in the PUSCH scheduled by the network device and an amount of to-be-sent uplink data. When the amount of the to-be-sent uplink data is less than the TB size scheduled by the network device, the terminal may decrease the maximum transmit power, and report a power headroom of the PUSCH to the network device by using a power headroom report PHR, so that the network device reduces the TB size and uplink transmit power of the terminal by reducing a quantity of resource blocks and/or a modulation order of an MCS. In this way, power consumption of the terminal is reduced while a delay of sending the uplink data by the terminal is reduced. |
