Disclosed is a composition for ameliorating, preventing or treating muscular atrophy or sarcopenia containing 2'-fucosyllactose. The composition increases the expression of genes related to mitochondrial function enhancement and mitochondrial biosynthesis, and reduces the expression of atrogin-1 and MuRF1 genes, which are markers for muscular atrophy, thereby providing effects of strengthening muscles and preventing muscular atrophy or sarcopenia.
