Summary:A switchgear device (100, 400, 500, 600) is described, comprising a circuit-breaker housing (112) having a conductor rod (118). The switchgear device further comprises a first connecting member (402, 502, 602) having a hollow cylindrical section (404, 504, 604) and a first flange (406, 506, 606). Herein, the first flange (406, 506, 606) of the first connecting member (402, 502, 602) is mounted to the first end (112a) of the circuit-breaker housing (112). The switchgear device (100, 400, 500, 600) also comprises a second connecting member (412, 512, 612) having a hollow cylindrical section (414, 514, 614). Herein, the second connecting member (412, 512, 612) is mounted at or proximal to a second end (404b, 504b, 604b) of the first connecting member (402, 502, 602), such that the conductor rod (118) is received in and extends through the hollow cylindrical section (414, 514, 614) of the second connecting member (412, 512, 612). The switchgear device (100, 400, 500, 600) further comprises a cable housing (116) supported from a first end (116a) thereof onto the second connecting member (412, 512, 612), such that the conductor rod (118) is received in the cable housing (116).
