Summary:An electronic device and method thereof are provided, which allow an input device (e.g., a keypad or a keyboard) thereof to be customized. The electronic device may include a display module, a processor operatively connected to the display module, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory may store instructions that cause, when executed, the processor to display a user interface based on execution of an application, to acquire keypad information and/or user input information from a user input related to a first keypad of the user interface, to determine characteristic information for a second keypad based on the acquired information, to organize the second keypad based on the characteristic information, and to display the second keypad through the user interface. Other embodiments are possible.
