A rubber composition is disclosed comprising a diene-based elastomer, a filler that includes an inorganic filler, preferably silica, and a plurality of silane compounds comprising: a bis(dialkylalkoxysilyl-alkyl) polysulfide coupling agent having the general formula R2(R1O)Si-(CH2)n- Sp- (CH2)m - Si(OR2)R32; and at least one alkoxysilane compound selected from the group consisting of: a hydrophobating bis(trialkoxyl)silane coupling agent having the general formula (R1O)3Si - R4 - Si(OR2)3 and a hydrophobating mono(trialkoxyl)silane dispersing agent having the general formula (R1O)3Si - R5; wherein R, R1, R2, and R3 may be identical or different, each being selected from a monovalent C1 to C5 straight chain or branched alkyl groups, R4 is selected from a divalent C3 to C18 straight chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl groups or aromatic groups, R5 is selected from a monovalent C3 to C18 straight chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl groups or aromatic groups, m and n may be identical or different, each being in a range from 3 to 18, and p is in a range from 2 to 4. Also disclosed is a tire tread and a tire comprising such a rubber composition.
